Si Shunwei has been the deputy director of Zhejiang Art Museum since 2009. He oversees the museum’s research and education programs, and has curated many exhibitions. He is a nationally recognized artist and his work has been widely exhibited and collected by major museums. For ten years he was editor-in-chief and senior editor at China Art Weekly. His published works include Scholar Calligraphy, Inscriptions from Famous Calligraphers, 30 Years of Chinese Contemporary Art (1978-2008), and The Shanghai School of Painting. He was named “Top 10 in Chinese Calligraphy” by Calligraphy magazine and Calligraphy Journal in 2010. He is a member of China Artists Association, China Calligraphers Association, and China Writers Association; a board member of Zhejiang Province Calligraphers Association; a research fellow at the Chinese Calligraphy Institute at Chinese National Academy of Arts; deputy director of China Writer’s Association Painting and Calligraphy Academy; and vice president and secretary of Lanting Calligraphy Society.
