Mr. Luo Huaqing is deputy director and curator at the Dunhuang Research Academy. Since he joined the Academy in 1983, his research areas have focused on the archaeology of Buddhist grottoes, Buddhist iconography, and museology. Luo has published four academic monographs and over thirty articles on Buddhist iconography and the art of Dunhuang. As a curator, he has organized over forty exhibitions in China as well as other countries, playing an instrumental role in promoting art from the Mogao Caves.
